Lankayan Island Dive Resort (Sandakan)

A jewel like tiny island in the Sulu Sea, and 1.5 hours boat rides north of Sandakan; Lankayan has been declared part of an immense Marine Protected Area to adopt the eco-tourism concept. Unpopulated and covered by thick tropical island vegetation on its top side, this peaceful, untouched little bit of paradise is ringed by and endless white sandy beach, offering simply elegant and exquisite accommodation in all 24 wooden, roomy and perfectly appointed sea front chalets.

Situated within the Sea Turtle Corridor, Lankayan Island is also a nesting place and foraging ground for sea turtle; most commonly Green and Hawlksbill Turtle. Therefore, guests will have a chance to see turtle nesting as well as new hacthlings of new baby turtles released to the sea especially in the season of June to September.

A minimum of 2 nights stay is required for every booking.

Lankayan Island Dive Resort Packages includes:

* RETURN transfer from Sandakan Airport/Hotel in Sandakan to Sandakan Yacht Club Jetty & return - 35 minutes

(Additional transfer other than the above will be subjected to additional charges)

* RETURN way boat transfer from Sandakan Yacht Club jetty to resort & return -  105 minutes

(Additional transfer other than the above will be subjected to additional charges)

* LANKAYAN Island’s Accommodation

* Fresh buffet meals (breakfast/lunch/dinner) throughout the stay

* Afternoon snacks served daily at the restaurant

* Guided tour to the Orang Utan Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre on last day-OPTIONAL

(1) LANKAYAN has no other room category and allocation of  room is based on RUN OF HOUSE (ROH) basis.

     (choosing of room by number will not be entertained)

(2) To purchase dive package, one must be a certified /licensed diver

(3) Single/Solo traveler is subject to Single Surcharge for OWN CHALET with NO SHARING option

     (Single Surcharge rate: additional 50% from the package rate above)

(4) No dive allowed within 24 hours to departure flight time.

(5) Snorkel by boat is available and a charge of RM 50.00 per person (minimum 2 persons).

(6) Diver guest are encourage to bring along their own dive equipment.

Arrival: Book the earliest flight to arrive Sandakan, latest by 09:00Hrs, for transfer to resort on the same day.
Please note that there is only 1 boat in to Lankayan which departs at 10:00Hrs daily.

Departure: Book any flight depart after 11:00Hrs. As boat depart Lankayan at 07:00Hrs once daily only.
